The Dons Trust Board Election 2012

ELECTION UPDATE (5 November)

The deadline for nominations to be received for the Dons Trust Board elections has now been extended until Monday 12 November.

Though the initial deadline was quoted as Saturday 10 November, some bulletins, including the Dons Trust website, had stated it was two days later. To avoid further confusion, the Dons Trust will now accept nominations by 12th.

The process for submitting nominations remains the same, as outlined below.

—————————–

Nominations opened on 27 October for this year’s elections to serve on the Dons Trust Board for the next two years.

There are FIVE places to be elected this year, and although the currently serving members are all eligible to re-stand, Simon Bath won’t be standing.

That means there will be at least one vacancy on the Trust Board to be filled, so someone reading this post who isn’t currently on the Trust Board will be on it in just over a month, playing their part in the decisions the Trust Board makes.

To be nominated, you need to be a paid up member of the Trust as of 12 October, and be nominated by two other paid-up members. You also need to submit a statement saying why people should vote for you, and a recent picture.

Nominations will be open until Monday 12 November, with voting opening on Friday 16 November. Polls will be open for a month, closing on December 12, with the results announced at the AGM on December 13.

There will be chance for members to ask questions of candidates in a discussion which will be broadcast live – there will be more details of that in the programme for the Aldershot game, and on the Dons Trust website.

Voting will be online for those who get their Dons Trust communications by email, or by post for everyone else. If you want to change how you get to vote, then email elections@thedonstrust.org.
