2016 minithon: run or walk for club cause

A great club event returns on Sunday, October 16 with supporters invited to join Haydon the Womble, Erik Samuelson and Neal Ardley on the starting line for the Minithon. Last year, over 150 runners combined to raise thousands of pounds for the club cause and we are hoping this year’s event will be bigger and better.

The aim is to stage a fun 5km run, walk or jog, and raise funds for the AFC Wimbledon Foundation, AFC Wimbledon Ladies and Girls, and the Academy.

We’ve set-up a donations page to sponsor Haydon, Erik and Neal with all contributions gratefully received, including Gift Aid, from supporters and well-wishers.

Volunteers

The club would be very grateful for help from volunteers to make it a successful event. We need help on the day (from 10.00 am) with people needed to assist with registrations (main race at 11.00 am) and to time the event. We could also do with help the day before (at the Swindon match) as we will be holding a bucket collection at the game. Please email us if you can help.

Video

Radio WDON’s Rob Cornell put together a video of last year’s successful event and this can be viewed via the club’s official YouTube  channel.
