The Dons Trust Board (DTB) held its regular board meeting on 11 December as a conference call due to poor weather conditions and transport issues preventing the board from meeting in person. Ahead of publication of the redacted minutes, this article summarises the main points discussed.

The Dons Trust secretariat supports the Board in a number of ways:

compiling agendas and minutes for the Board’s meetings each month preparing papers for general meetings and sending them out to members communicating with members via Webjam, Twitter and Facebook keeping the Trust’s website up to date..

Fan power in action

Stadium one step closer as section 106 agreement signed

We’re delighted to announce that AFC Wimbledon, Merton Council and Galliard Homes have today signed the Section 106 agreement that clears the way for our new stadium.

This is another major milestone towards the rightful return of Wimbledon’s football club to Wimbledon and represents the result of months of hard work to finalise a complex deal.

The signing means work can now start on the stadium, as well as the 602 new homes, retail space and squash and fitness club..

Revised dates for Annual General Meetings

The AFCW PLC board has agreed that the Group’s accounts should not be finalised until the s106 agreement has been signed, so as to be able to include in those accounts the most up to date position regarding the stadium.  As a consequence, completion of the Dons Trust accounts has been delayed and we have had to defer the Dons Trust AGM to Thursday 21 December, to be held at The Cherry Red Records Stadium, starting at 7.30 pm.
