Golden Goals achieves a notable first

At the game against Sutton United for the first time at Plough Lane – and also for some time whilst at Kingsmeadow –Golden Goals sold out of tickets so apologies if you didn’t get to purchase one.

But the volunteer-run incidental lottery is building up another sizeable contribution for the Dons Trust’s causes.

So far this season in excess of £1800 has been generated.

The Dons Trust AFC Wimbledon Club Owners

Emily Reid won the Sutton game’s first prize with ticket Player 6, Minute 30; however, as with no second goal the second prize goes into the Dons Trust pot.

No one had come forward by last Saturday’s midnight deadline to claim the 2nd Prize for the Colchester Utd game, which was Player 5, Minute 47; the ticket had both minutes 46 and 47.

So, claims of near misses are being accepted; same Player, but times of 44, 45, 48 and 49 minutes may win.

Contact the GG Team on GoldenGoals@thedonstrust.org before the deadline of Saturday 29 October (Harrogate Town at home), or outside the club shop either before or after that game.

Finally, many thanks to all the fans who support Golden Goals and thereby the Dons Trust and club.

Golden Goals are sold at the Match Day magazine pods around the ground on most Saturday games and within the hospitality lounges, until 2.45pm so volunteer sellers can get seated for the game.
