Dons Trust Board Meeting 14th August 2024 Summary
Introduction
Prior to the meeting Angus, Andrea and George attended a meeting with the FSA to discuss their views on the members resolutions that had been published in the days prior to this meeting.
This months DTB meeting took place entirely online.
September SGM/ Members Called Meeting
Each of the proposed resolutions were discussed including the views of the FSA and Andrea’s legal input. George reminded the board of the constitutional issues throughout this discussion. It was agreed that the secretariat should work with the group putting forward the resolutions to try to get some of them more workable and to get some to the stage where the board could support them.
PLC Questions
An extensive list of items to raise at the PLC board meeting due to take place on the 15th was put together and included a range of topics.
Theme Groups
Updates were received from all of theme groups which included updates on the latest Community Projects, The latest update on issues with the new club website and language used surrounding the membership and the members handbook which should be published shortly.

An update was given on the restricted action process and a lengthy discussion took place surrounding the comms around the campaign.

Future Board Members information
Following a discussion it was agreed to begin putting together a document to better advise people what being on the board is like and what some of the requirements are. The aim of this is to try to encourage more candidates at the upcoming election.

Election of Dons Trust Representatives on charity boards
Following discussion after Michele’s resignation from the board it was agreed to appoint Hannah as the DT’s representative on the club Foundation board and Graeme as the DT representative on the WiSH board.
