DTB February Meeting Summary

The full Dons Trust Board February Meeting took place on Wednesday 26th February at Plough Lane. Apologies were received from Graeme Price, with the Board noting that this was a result of the change in date for the meeting. The rest of the board were in attendance in person alongside George Jones and Reece Wheeler-Kelly. Michele Little and Craig Cope were also present for specific agenda items.

The minutes from the January board meeting were approved for publication.

At the meeting the board received updates on the outstanding actions list. Included in this was the planning process for a joint boards day; the implementation of a Club procurement policy; Plough Lane Bonds; FSA training; Membership offering and a flood update.

Craig Cope then joined the meeting and provided a comprehensive update on the club’s football operations which covered the Men’s and Women’s first teams as well as the Academy. Craig then answered questions from board members before leaving the meeting.

Michele then provided a financial update which led to a discussion on a potential equity option in respect of the available equity (to get to 75%). Michele also provided an update on the Plough Lane Bonds.

The various working groups then reported back to the board on their latest meetings.

A discussion then took place on how the club and DT could further support the Women’s team.

The Board then discussed the club’s response to the outcomes from the recent DT meeting on Season Ticket pricing. The DT agreed to approve the clubs new proposals unanimously. Michele left the meeting following this agenda item.

An update was then provided on the latest developments in relation to the recruitment of a new PLC Chair.

The board then began discussions on potential priorities for the calendar year.

George updated the board on the latest changes to the risk register.

George then presented the ESG report from the recent election. The board discussed the implications and the options going forward taking into account the report.

The board agreed to a new social media policy introduced.

A paper was discussed that reviewed the recent international supporters weekend.

The board then received briefings following discussions with a local MP that focused on upcoming legislation and a separate meeting involving an international club.

The board discussed how to approach the current board vacancy.

George and Reece provided an update on the successful launch of the Dons Discord.

George informed the board of some upcoming training they should undertake.
