Colin Dipple steps down from Trust board

Dons Trust Board member Colin Dipple has decided to step down from the board with immediate effect due to personal ill health.

Colin was due to step down at our next members’ meeting on Monday 9 December, following the expiry of his two-year term, but has decided to bring that forward.

On behalf of his fellow Dons Trust Board members, chair Mark Davis said: “It goes without saying that everyone on the board sends their best wishes and thanks to Colin on behalf of all our members.

“Colin has been an invaluable presence on the board, with his construction-industry knowledge proving particularly useful in recent months, helping fellow board members understand some of the technical issues surrounding our new stadium.

“He’s also given up a large amount of time to attend various daytime meetings, including site meetings with our contractor, often seeming to prioritise those meetings above his obligations to his own companies.

“But we’ll also miss his personality. If anyone could be relied on to make a quick self-deprecating light-hearted quip to break into a serious discussion, it was Colin. We wish him all the best.”

Colin was first elected to the Trust board in 2015.
