Your Vote, Our Club, Majority Rule   

Now is the time to vote on the proposal to change the minimum fan ownership level from 75%+1 to 50.01%. This would allow the club to bring in minority investors while still maintaining majority fan control.  

REMINDER 1: If this vote passes we will still need your approval to bring on board an investor. This vote gives us the clear mandate to find one.

Now is the time to have your say on the future of our club.

We’re asking all members to vote on whether we can allow more investment from outside owners while keeping the club majority-owned by us - the fans.

This means changing the Trust rules to allow a new minimum level of fan ownership of 50.01% – our majority rule.

Richard Shepherd stands down from the DTB

The Dons Trust board is sad to pass on the following statement from board member Richard Shepherd:

“I’ve taken the difficult decision to step down from the board in December 2024.

The role has become all consuming and has taken a significant impact on my work/life balance. I think it’s a sensible decision to step down now and allow someone new to join who has the time to dedicate to the Trust.”

Record numbers join

As promised we wanted to give members an update on membership numbers for this year so far. Now that the period for renewals has passed (at the end of September) we can confirm our numbers as they stand now. 

We now have a record 6,266 members. That’s 6,266 Wimbledon fans who are members and have an equal say in our shared future.

Dons Trust Board Meeting Summary October 2024

The Dons Trust Board had it’s main October meeting on 9th October. Since the full September meeting the board has met twice. Once as a closed session where wording for the restricted action was discussed alongside the constitution review and plans for the drop in sessions.
