Matchday exclusive opportunities for Junior Dons (JDs) are now available. All JDs have been mailed with some exclusive opportunities on a matchday including ball boy/girl, player walkout, flag bearers and reading out the team sheet. Matchday Ball Boys/Girls
Are you aged 14-17 years old and would like to be pitchside and part of the AFC Wimbledon team on match days?
We are looking for a dedicated team of Ball Boy/Girls for our first team matches, including all our League 1 and Cup games at Plough Lane! This is a really important role and we are planning to have a team of ball boy/girls on a rota, so you don’t have to be available for every game. We are looking for:
- JDs aged 14-17 who are able to attend match day games, afternoon and evening. You will be required to sign up to the Volunteer Charter that the club has for all volunteers.
- We will provide training on how to keep the game running smoothly when the ball goes out of play.
- You will arrive at the game early and meet up with your ball boy/girl team mates under the supervision of our JDs team leader, who will ensure you are kitted out and ready for the game ahead.
Matchday Player Walkout
Are you aged 11 and under? We are offering a Matchday Player Walkout competition where we will randomly be picking two JDs to walk out with the players for our Saturday afternoon matches. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of the build up to our games at Plough Lane! Your parent/carer will bring you to our JD Team leader before kick-off, who will organise the event.
We also offer a JDs special offer package to be a player walk-out mascot, at the discounted price of £25 (normal price £50). More information will be on the official website www.afcwimbledon.co.uk in due course.

Flag bearers and reading out the team sheet
We will also be offering JDs aged 6 and above an opportunity to be a flag bearer as the team walks out onto the pitch and/or to read out the team sheet for certain games throughout the season. For reading out the team, one accompanying adult (parent/carer) can be with the child. Please ensure your child wants to do this and is confident in being able to do it.
