Volunteer Opportunity: Join The Election Steering Group

Are you passionate about our club and its democratic, engaged approach?
If so, the Dons Trust would benefit from your assistance.
As the supporters’ organisation which owns AFC Wimbledon football club, the Dons Trust is looking for volunteers to assist our Election Steering Group (ESG) in managing our annual elections where our membership elects their representatives onto the Dons Trust Board.
We are currently seeking two or more enthusiastic people to join the ESG. As well as being part of the team that independently manages the nominations and voting process, we are particularly interested in finding volunteers who have IT expertise (to assist with the electronic voting system and our internal systems) and/or communications skills (to help publicise the elections and interact with members during the process).
These roles can be done remotely and the effort required can generally be timed flexibly to fit around your personal commitments. We estimate the average monthly commitment for this role is minimal other than during the election period each autumn (Sep/Oct/Nov), where it can rise to 4 or 5 hours a week during peak periods around the opening / closure of the nomination and voting periods.
If you think you might be interested and could be suitable please email  Matthew Breach, the ESG Chair, via elections@thedonstrust.org  by close of business on Sunday 31st March. Matthew and any of the other current ESG members (Julian Edwards and Martin Drake) will be happy to answer any questions on the roles and their requirements at any point, so please engage to see if you can help in this vital activity.
Thank you for considering volunteering with the Dons Trust.
