Rewards Update
As the end of the season approaches and we look forward to another series in League One, we’re getting in touch with an update for all of our Seedrs investors. Now that the stadium is completed and keys handed over, we’re at a stage where we can start to install all of the perks and rewards ahead of the start of the 2021/22 season.
Firstly, we just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their patience, support and understanding in recent months. So much has changed since we launched the Seedrs investment back in 2019. Your support was crucial to getting us back to Plough Lane and we’re excited that your names will be forever etched into the stadium. This is a lengthy update and what parts are relevant to your investment will vary but please take time to read it all in detail.
Investor Wall
Thank you to everyone for submitting their names for the investor wall. We’ve now been able to resolve all of the outstanding issues with names and finalise all of the submissions. The wall is due to be installed next month and will be located in the Fanzone behind the club shop. We’ll share photos of it on our website and social media for fans who aren’t able to get to Plough Lane to see it as it’s installed.
Stadium naming rights
Next season will be a huge year for the club as Dons fans are set to return to Plough Lane for the first time in 30 years and for five lucky winners, their names will be up in lights for all to see. As promised during the Seedrs campaign, we’ll be handing over the naming rights for the Stadium for five games in our first full season at Plough Lane. The draw will take place on the week of the 17th May and winners will be announced on our website and social media later that week.
At the same, we’ll also be drawing the names of the 100 lucky investors who will be invited to watch a training session at Plough Lane to be followed by lunch with the players and coaching staff next season. At present, we’re not able to confirm exactly when this will take place due to Covid restrictions, but the places will be reserved for you and your guest when that special day comes.
Pins & Scarves
For those who contributed over £100, you’ll receive a limited-edition scarf and pin in recognition of your investment. These are due to arrive at the club in June. For those fans who’ll be visiting Plough Lane in the near future, we’ll have arrangements in place for you to collect them so you can wear them with pride on a matchday. But don’t worry if you can’t make it to Plough Lane, we’ll arrange to post yours out to you. We’ll be in touch with all the options available, once they arrive.
Stadium Steps & plaques
Before the start of next season, we’ll be installing the step fronts and the brick plaques that will line the staircase and main concourse. At the end of this month and over the first couple of weeks of June, we’ll be in contact with the investors who secured these perks to collect the details you’d like included. These will then be produced one by one and installed at the ground.
We know that not everyone will be able to get to Plough Lane on a match day so we’re going to be filming and photographing all of the installations and making these available online. The steps will also be accessible all year round for those passing by or visiting the stadium, even when the ground is closed.
Other perks
For those individuals who invested £10,000 or more with perks that include photos, training ground visits, dressing room signs etc, we’ll be in contact with all of these investors directly before the end of this month to finalise your rewards
And finally, for those who are going to be adding their name to a beer tap, urinal or EPOS there are more investors at this level than there are spaces available. As these are only season long perks, we’ll spread these out over the first couple of seasons so it’s fair to everyone based on the date you made your initial investment. We’ll be in contact to let you know which season you’ve been allocated in June and collecting the details of those allocated the 21/22 season at that point.
Amazingly, over 5000 of you invested in the Seedrs scheme which left us with a mammoth but pleasant challenge of managing so many rewards. Every investment, whether £10, £100,000 or any amount in between was crucial to our return and as we plan for our first full season at Plough Lane we’re excited to now be able to start to put all of your rewards in place.
