The Dons Trust AFC Wimbledon Club OwnersTicketing: An update from the Dons Trust Board and an important message for season ticket holders

The Dons Trust AFC Wimbledon Club Owners

Following on from last week’s statement on ticketing, The Dons Trust Board would like to update members.

In the first instance, extra support staff (including a volunteer from the DTB and a SecuTix systems specialist) have been drafted in to assist the back office team. This should mean the Club is now able to field more phone and email enquiries and be more proactive in making outbound calls.

We can also reconfirm that people who wanted a season ticket but were only able to purchase a matchday ticket are now able to call the office (+44 (0)20 3988 7863) to purchase a season ticket and be refunded the cost of the matchday ticket.

To clarify, Debenture holders will need to call the office if they wish to buy a season ticket as this is not available online.

This morning we have been told that, despite previous assurances, there is a problem with the delivery of cards to season ticket holders in good time for the Bolton (test event) and Gillingham games. Because of this, the club will not be using the season ticket card system for these two games and will instead be issuing an e-ticket to all season ticket holders for each game (for further details of what to do read the club statement: https://www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/news/2021/august/urgent-season-ticket-news-for-opening-home-games/?fbclid=IwAR2R68_Hqdqt34jSOQ75ESYHgx50SE1gFkWSemopu2yRChhgoZ5tsrTzfJg).

We are sorry to be bringing this further unwelcome news to supporters. Obviously this issue will form a significant part of the inquiry into the ticketing issues, as outlined in our statement on Friday (thedonstrust.org/2021/08/06/ticket-sales-a-statement-from-the-dons-trust-board).

Once again, thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you at a game soon.
