We are coming up to the end of the membership year on 30 June 2023. Between now and then we will be making a number of changes to memberships and how they are handled, as outlined below.
Currently the Dons Trust (DT) membership database and the club’s ticketing system database hold separate contact details for members. We will be moving the administration of DT memberships to use the club’s ticketing system, ready for the renewals process which will start in mid-June.
Payments in future will be taken using the club’s ticketing account. Members who have a current direct debit will be renewed automatically – how to update your contact details is outlined below.
UK GDPR and data protection
Both the club and the DT use GDPR-compliant processes, so you can rest assured that your data is safe and secure. Please also note that our changes do not affect your rights as a data subject under the UK GDPR. Junior Dons (under 16s)
The Junior Dons will now be run by AFC Wimbledon. This will allow the Junior Dons more opportunities to interact with the club and enhances what was already a great membership offer. Junior Dons membership will automatically be included with a junior season ticket and will also be available separately to purchase or renew, priced £20.
Once a Junior Don reaches the age of 16, they will automatically move to a DT Young Adult membership – with the first year completely free!
Young Adult and other concessionary memberships
No changes here – the price stays at £10. Concession categories are:
- Young Adult (16-21 years old)
- Senior (65+)
- Students in full-time education
For any season ticket holders aged 16 or 17 on 1 August 2023, the Dons Trust will give you Young Adult membership for a year – completely free!
No changes here – the price stays at £25.
Dons Trust Plus
We will no longer offer Dons Trust Plus membership. Instead, DT members who want to take advantage of discounts on matchday tickets and exclusive offers on merchandise can purchase Stadium Plus at the same time as buying or renewing your DT membership.
These are still available – as before, they are priced at £500.
What happens next?
For the last year we have been matching DT memberships with ticketing accounts. For the last few weeks, we have been comparing the contact data held in both systems and will be emailing members where their details differ, asking which values to use.
We plan to transfer contact details for all memberships by mid-June so if you have any changes in the meantime, particularly if you create a new ticketing account yourself, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Trust members with an existing ticketing account
Because we will move members’ data from the existing DT system to the club’s ticketing system, in future all contact details (name, address, email, phone and date of birth) will be held in common. This means that if you move home, or change other contact details, you need only notify us once to update both your membership and your ticketing account. In fact, you will be able to use the ticketing account to update your details yourself.
Trust members with no ticketing account
Where you do not already have a ticketing account, we will create one as part of the transfer, using the email address and other contact details that we have. Email addresses will need to be unique for each member.
If several memberships currently share the same email address, we will ask for new, unique email addresses. If you are not online at all (i.e. do not have an email address) we will still create a ticketing account but this will not affect your membership and how we communicate with you.
As part of the transfer from the DT system to the club’s ticketing system, we will also transfer the details of existing Junior Dons as above. The club will be contacting the parents or guardians of each Junior Don regarding renewing their memberships.
The Dons Trust hopes that these changes will benefit everyone. It will simplify our communications, save money on payment processing and other administrative costs.
