We’re in an incredibly busy period of activity for everyone at the Dons Trust, and we’re aware that a head spinning amount of information has been flying out to our members. 

It’s really important to us as a board that our 6,300 members – a record now we include membership with season tickets – remain engaged and involved at important moments like these.

Majority Rule email reminder – Plough Lane Bond and strategy

Back in 2019 when we were facing financial disaster and the loss of our club a small group of Dons Trust members stepped up to launch the Plough Lane Bond.

Helped by teams of volunteers and the generosity of so many of you we raised the money needed to get us back home to Plough Lane and fund the construction of the stadium.

18-24 members – come and see behind the scenes at Plough Lane

Dons Trust members aged 18-24 are invited to the Cherry Red Records Stadium, Plough Lane for an exclusive young member’s event.

Record numbers join

As promised we wanted to give members an update on membership numbers for this year so far. Now that the period for renewals has passed (at the end of September) we can confirm our numbers as they stand now. 

We now have a record 6,266 members. That’s 6,266 Wimbledon fans who are members and have an equal say in our shared future.

AFC Wimbledon Finance Update – September 2024

The Dons Trust board (DTB) asked Michele Little, treasurer of the Dons Trust and chair of AFCW PLC’s finance committee to prepare an update for members and fans on our current financial postion and where we are with Plough Lane Bond redemptions.

Michele has been working tirelessly on contacting bondholders, managing the process for bond redemption or roll over, as well as all her other work for the Club and Trust. As such she’s in the perfect position..

Majority Rule – Background information and data for members

As part of this restricted action process, all Dons Trust members are being asked to vote twice on whether the Dons Trust rules can be changed to allow us to sell more shares in AFCW PLC (the entity that operates AFC Wimbledon) and allow us the option to reduce our ownership to no fewer than 50.01% of the shares.

The Dons Trust would always hold the majority voting rights and majority ownership of the Club.

End of season members survey 23-24 – summary

At the end of the last season, we sent out a survey to members to get their views and input on a range of topics.

Of the 3,458 members we had at the time we sent the survey out, we had 1,775 responses, of which 1,101 responded to all the questions. These are really impressive numbers compared to similar organisations and show a great level of engagement amongst members.
