Next month sees the Football People anti-discrimination weeks of action. Dons Trust member Rob Crane explains what it’s all about.

The largest initiative against discrimination in football kicks off on October 8 with a fortnight of events. The Football People campaign is run by Fare, a global organisation that aims to tackle discrimination in the sport.

Last year’s fortnight featured over 2,000 activities in 59 countries, including Mexico and Vietnam, with some of European football’s top stars, including Didier Drogba..

Proxy voting forms for Vote 1 have now been sent out to members, either via email or post, as per each member’s stated preference. 

Due to restrictions imposed by the Trust constitution, if you wish to vote in advance of the SGM on October 22 then you have to do so via proxy. Please do not ignore this email or letter – this is your chance to vote.

If you recently joined the Trust or renewed your membership, there’s a final chance to pick up your membership card before Tuesday’s (September 29th’s) match against Northampton Town.

Visit the new Dons Trust kiosk in Jack Goodchild Way, near the gates, and speak with our membership volunteers, who should be able to unite you with your card.

Any cards not picked up tonight or previously will be posted out soon after the match.

If you’re thinking of standing as a candidate in this year’s Dons Trust Board election, please note that the cut-off date to renew your Trust membership is September 30.

Members who renew after that date won’t be eligible to either stand or vote in the election. Please do renew as early as you can in order to help our membership volunteers.
