New stadium update – February 2019

The Dons Trust board and the football club board held a joint meeting last week (13 February) so that Trust board members could be shown the latest core plans for the main west stand of the new stadium.

As well as the changing rooms, club office spaces and media facilities, the current plans envisage the main stand housing the new stadium’s main hospitality areas including a large corner bar, sit-down catering areas and executive boxes, plus a large fans’ zone…

Potential new club partner

AFC Wimbledon are currently in talks with a betting firm with a view to taking them on as the club’s official betting partner.

The Dons Trust are aware that betting can be a contentious issue and would like to take a “temperature test” of the membership before approving such a deal.

Congratulations to Junior Don, Adam Trathan, who was the lucky winner in the draw to be a mascot in the 5th round of the FA Cup against Millwall on Saturday 16 February.

Dons Trust Treasurer / Board Position

The Dons Trust Board is seeking a Treasurer and a co-opted Board member.

Following the changes to the board arising from the 2018 elections, we currently do not have a Dons Trust Board member with the appropriate qualifications and experience to serve as Treasurer. The board has therefore decided to advertise the following two unpaid positions.
