The Elections Steering Group (ESG) is pleased to announce that following the closure of nominations on Saturday evening (29 October) we have received sufficient nomination applications for the seven vacancies on the Dons Trust board so there will be an election in the forthcoming weeks.

If you have proposed a candidate please look out for an email from us confirming your proposal.

The ESG are busy validating the applications but we hope to announce the candidates at some point tomorrow (31 October).

2021 Dons Trust Board Election

Your chance to help set the direction of your club.

The Dons Trust Board (DTB) runs the Trust and is elected by the Trust’s members on a one-member, one-vote basis.

Elections to the board take place every year, with half the positions on the board up for election each time.

The results of each election are announced at that year’s Dons Trust annual general meeting, held in December.

Update on Dons Trust Elections 2019

This is to confirm that, subject to candidate and proposer verification of eligibility, there will be a contested election for 2019.

Once the verification process has been completed, the names of the candidates will be announced.

Dons Trust members will be aware that, this year, the Trust is trialling an electronic nomination system. For personal data reasons, the verification process will take somewhat longer than in previous years, but an announcement is expected later in the week.

Following the success of the live video interviews during last year’s Dons Trust Board election, the Election Steering Group expect to endorse a similar event this year.

Trust members considering standing in this year’s Trust board election may wish to note that the proposed date is Sunday 3 November.

Announcement of election to fill five vacancies on the Trust Board

Members of the Dons Trust Board are elected to serve for two years and this year the term has come to an end for five board members. There are therefore five vacancies to be filled and this Announcement of Election formally starts the election process.

If you wish to stand, you will need to complete a nomination form.
