Following our call for additional Board members in July, we have now completed the process of interviews and are delighted to announce the appointment of Anuk Teasdale and Angus Fox to join the DT Board. 

We advertised for candidates who could bring additional skills to the Board. Anuk has extensive experience in Equality and Diversity. She has been an active member of the Club D&I group for many years and was part of several very successful projects in that area…

Following the announcement on 13 September that Kris Stewart was stepping down from the Dons Trust Board in order to take up a temporary position overseeing stadium business and operations whilst the club recruits a new Managing Director. the Board were left with only seven elected members.  

We immediately took advice from our secretary and also The Football Supporters Association (FSA) (as the sponsor of our rules). Subsequently,the Board appointed Edward Leek to fill what’s known as a ‘casual vacancy’..

Wednesday 13 September’s board meeting was planned to have been a formal meeting of the board. However, because of the recent changes to the board, specifically the departure of Kris Stewart (see statement), the formal section of the meeting was only to discuss and agree the filling of the casual vacancy left by Kris’s departure (according to rule 64 of the constitution).

James MacdonaldNew DT AFCW PLC rep appointed

The Dons Trust Board has agreed to appoint James Macdonald as its third director on the board of AFCW PLC, following the departure of Kris Stewart.

He will be the third board rep and will sit alongside new DT Chair, Michele Little, and new Vice-Chair, Graeme Price.

The Dons Trust https://thedonstrust.org/ is the membership organisation which owns AFC Wimbledon https://www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/ – the football club started in 1889 and which has been fan-owned since 2002.  

We are looking for a comms-savvy volunteer to help support The Dons Trust’s external and internal communications.
